ASDC partners with NPOCA to organize National Automotive Olympiad – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News

New Delhi: The Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) has partnered with the National Program on Career Awareness (NPOCA) for its flagship program, the ASDC National Automobile Olympiad, which commenced on May 31, 2022. The Automobile Olympiad is a national level examination organized by ASDC to arouse students’ interest in the automotive industry and provide them with basic to advanced information.

The competition has three stages in which students from grades 7 to 12 can learn about the automotive industry. The Olympiad is being held online to allow students from all boards and regions across the country to participate.

Registration will be open from June 10 to July 31, 2022 and students will be able to participate free of charge via in the Olympiad. The results of the first stage will be announced in October and the national winners of the Olympiad will be recognized by the ASDC in January 2023.

In the current scenario, the standard of automobile industry is rapidly changing towards robotics and electric vehicles, the electric vehicle industry is expected to generate huge jobs, and the entire automobile industry will become the biggest industry during of the next five years. This is NPOCA’s 2nd collaboration with an industry organization; last year they organized the BSE International Finance Olympiad.

The objective is to organize an awareness campaign for the next generation on job choices, future prospects, economic growth and the environmental impact of the automobile industry. The competition will be mainly theoretical in nature, with the aim of clarifying the fundamental concepts of industry, travel and the necessity of the automotive sector.

ASDC is India’s premier industry skills council, and it has always focused on the development of students in the automotive industry, believing that skills are the only way to develop skilled employment, work independence, the economy and the secure future of citizens.
